He has also received numerous awards for his musical talent. And then, um, and then I was terrified of swimming. And there's a lot that people will learn from your advice in this, John Rzeznik: Okay, wait, wait, break that down for me. And, and, um, and I hope that my daughter respects me. And I tell her, Look at me, look at me, Lilly, you have greatness inside you, but you gotta do the work. Oh hell yeah. And um, and then I did, and then I went to rehab and it didn't work. But you gotta learn to swallow it and accept it as a stepping stone to success or acceptance. I think, Yeah. But it was one of the most accepting places to grow up, you know, eighties, nineties, if you said you were gay, nobody cared. It's like one long error chain of, uh, things. Like we would, we would be, cuz we were the only two males in the house, so we had to get the hell out of there. That was rough In the nineties. The pain remains. And I started going back and just listening to all the songs and I'm like, it reminds me of this time in high school or this time in my early days in the military, uh, pretty wicked how we tie a, uh, a memory to a specific sort of song in our life. Mike Sarraille: So, you know, one thing people rarely know about me is I come from San Francisco, which is, I, it was a great place, eighties, nineties. You're, you're, you're, you're out. It's, and it's stalling me out. I have no regrets in my life. But John, before we get to our, our final questions, and one, I can't thank you enough for your time, um, let's talk a little bit about this album. It's like really trying to, and I'm getting older, so it's kind of like, Oh man, just gimme that bed. Or, or it reminds 'em of a great time in their life. Like he figured it outing great. Um, I believe that it was, it, I was born with it. But we, I mean, we have seen, but it's also, you know, so I've got a good clinical psychologist friend who says, you know, mental health issues have increased exponentially since World War ii. John Rzeznik: And we talk heavily about victimhood and we talk heavily about failure, uh, because my life is one, and we said it right before this, we were like, what is the the biggest failure in your life? And there seems to be, now in the modern world of the future, I think there's an epidemic of loneliness, especially among men disenfranchisement. Uh, if I come into a doctor and say, Hey, I have mental health issues, they can't say no, you don't. So what do they do the next week? We have to release the kinetic energy inside ourselves.
